Long ago, there was a legend about the creator of the Smilodon's daughter, how once she saw the finished Smilodon for the first time, she told her father of nightmares she had of such a machine only larger, stalking the battlefields as the undisputed master of its domain. Rumors at the time persisted that the Shogunate had indeed found such a machine, and based the quadrupedal design off of it using the technology at the time.

Time has passed, and with it technology advanced.
It has long been said that the best defence is a good offence. The Cyberdonis the epitome of this philosophy. It is a hunter of mecha, pure and simple. Raw power channeled into the perfect fighting machine.
It is quite obvious that the Cyberdon is based on the Smilodon and there are several design concepts of both form and function in common but it is much more than just a larger version of its predecessor. It is an engineering marvel in its own right. As the first 110 ton mecha in an era where 105 ton mecha are still considered cutting edge technology the Cyberdon stands alone.
Designed to be the fastest mecha at the high end of the tonnage bracket, trading away innate Freeze or Slow for additional firepower it carries the most unaugmented Crit-kill percentage to date. The Cyberdon is outfitted with the most powerful A.I. invented. The culmination of project Gamma Epsilon-03 it is nicknamed Silicon Socrates and is said to rival Artificial Mind in computing power. It is no surprise that this A.I. supports the greatest amount of custom upgrade modules for any mecha ever built with nine slots available when fully upgraded. Additional targeting bonuses increase the damage potential of every known type of weaponry. Considerable computing power is dedicated to target vectors and course prediction which yields a healthy boost to secondary targeting. These type of Trample attacks can disable an approaching enemy mecha before it can get in range to fire.
The NovaStar design team made another breakthrough in mecha engineering when creating the power plant for the Cyberdon. Rather than attempt to reinvent the wheel and struggle through designing something entirely new, they took what was available and made work. Made it work better to be exact. With a few modifications and a thorough overhaul they took an engine designed for a smaller mecha, there is some speculation that the power plant is the same design used by the Revenant while others claim the Warden design was used. Either way the NovaStar engineers aren’t talking. With increased power output to move their massive mecha while keeping all the custom equipment ports intact, in fact the larger size of the mecha allowed for the installation of an additional port. The design team’s final product exceeded all expectations and what was thought to be possible with power to spare. This excess power is of course channelled into overload capacitors. A significant amount of priority was given to 3X and 1.6X capacitors.
The sturdy quadruped chassis design makes the Cyberdon quite agile despite its size. Fully developed it has the ability to Dodge incoming attacks without having to rely entirely on electronics. Six ports are provided for the installation of custom equipment. Several shield pods are mounted at strategic points on the chassis to provide coverage from any type of attack and a full set of five heavy shielding mounts are available.
Long ago, there was a legend about a nightmare that stalked the battlefields. Now NovaStar has made the legend a reality. A mecha that is a nightmare for its foes, but for those fortunate enough to pilot one, it is a dream.
As of Today a new legend s being told around the Mecha Galaxy. MK Mathews has become renowned as a legendary pilot of the 110 ton Cyberdon Class Mecha. In the hands of an experienced pilot like Matthews the power of the Gamma Epsilon-03 A.I (nicknamed the Silicone Socrates) is unleashed and the Cyberdon becomes a true hunter of mecha on the battlefield. Mathews has a long galactic history, gaining his first medals and establishing himself in the mecha universe in 3341. Two short galactic years later Mathews was instrumental in the defeat of one of the galaxies most sinister villains, Drochah. From there, Mathews began his search for a mecha home. Mathews wandered briefly before taking up an ever bigger challenge, that of forming his own clan. If Mathews could not find a home among the clans that existed, he would be a beacon for other like minded pilots searching for a clan amongst the far flung stars. At it's height the clan, known as "Raging Vengeance," Mathews could boast of over 100 skilled and trained pilots at his command. A force to be reckoned with, Raging Vengeance made it's presence known in the clan wars and left a powerful stamp on the young mecha galaxy. Though health issues would temporarily cause Mathews to retreat from the public square, he returned galactic years ago and reformed the Raging Vengeance with a fury befitting it's name. Sheparded by Mathews the clan's name is consistently seen on leader boards and will continue to be a potent for in for the mecha galaxy in the future as it was in the past. Mathews continues the hard work of forming something from the chaos of the mecha universe. While fighting clan enemies and slaying time traveling forerunners are part of a days work, Mathews knows this doesn't grow the future. Only dedication, teamwork, and a common goal can truly forge something that stands the test of time against the chaos of the mecha universe. It is an assurance that the legend of Mathews will only grow...
As of Today a new legend s being told around the Mecha Galaxy. Paul Knight has become renowned as a legendary pilot of the 110 ton Cyberdon Class Mecha. In the hands of a pilot like Knight, the Cyberdon can dish out a truly fantastic level of destruction. The Cyberdon is an offensive juggernaut, capable of downing even the most fortified and shielded mecha in a single shot. In the hands of a skilled pilot like Knight, whole squadron's can be devastated within the first salvo of battle. As the Cyberdon innately favors no single weapon type, Knight routinely uses his battlefield experience to ensure his opponents always find themselves on the unfavorable side of weaponry based match up. With speed, firepower, and planning, Knight has become a continuous and feared presence on the field of battle. Knight began his climb to legendry status by debuting with a formal debut in the third Clan Wars of 3267. While climbing through the ranks and leader of the Star league, the amount of gold and silver on his trophy wall has steadily increased to trophy totals numbering in the thousands. Using his extensive combat experience, Knight has evolved into a prime leadership role. Currently he leads the clan Space Force Cowboys RV, overseeing their climb through the clan ranks with the same "terrifying harmony" he shows on the battlefield. Known enthusiast of horror and sci-fi, Knight cultivates a mysterious and fearsome persona, ensuring his opponents are off their game before the first shots have ever been fired. One thing remains a certainty: Knight's legend will live on and continue to grow throughout the mecha galaxy. See you, Space Cowboy...
Jaime Beltran has been a force to be reckoned with since he first appeared. Rumors abound as to his origin. Some say he taught General Nova everything he knows about piloting. Others say he was the prototype and inspiration for the Red Ant. Whatever the case, when he appeared, he appeared as a champion.
He won Gold in the inaugural Clan Wars and, of course, it was in Division One. He also has more medals than some pilots have mecha in their hangar. He has fought for or against every D1 clan and left his mark on every one of them. Either with trophies or with the smoldering hulks of destroyed mecha in his wake.
Although he claims to be semi-retired he is still a key figure in Clan Wars and King of the Mountain contests. Most wise pilots give him a wide berth but the foolhardy and the brave will occasionally challenge him. More often than not the end result is a harsh lesson in formation construction. And now the Cyberdon has become another tool of instruction for anyone willing to risk the wrath of a legend.
Justin is famed for winning the highest division in the inaugural King of the Mountain of 2361, largely on the power of his Smilodons. His use of an entire squadron of Smilodons propelled him to success against enemies who simply couldn’t compete with their unmatched speed and penchant for crit-kills. Once the leader of the famous clan Cyberstorm, Justin has ceded his power in favor of a simpler life, going where the high-paying contracts call him.
When the Smilodon was first released, it was rumored that it was not the final form, that a larger, even more powerful machine was being worked on.
When called to the Novastar proving grounds, He got his first look at the legend made reality. Only a few others believed in the legend, that one day such a machine would stalk the battlefield. Indeed, only a handful are still around who remember the promise. Still, when asked how he felt after that first test run, his words were simple. "This is what I've been waiting for."
Hit one, hit two, hit all.
