Light and fast, the Anzu is the mosquito of the modern Hegemony mecha battalion. Swarms of these machines can turn the tide of battle for any side, as they provide many stings that can bring down larger opponents. During battles, they can fire two shots of any available weapon to their enemy's one, but the lighter armor also means that they are incredibly vulnerable to enemy fire.

An Anzu that has been fully upgraded and features an experienced pilot can be an unbeatable weapon in a fight. The pilots who specialize in Anzu tend to have quick reactions and are suited to dangerous missions. New Anzu pilots are often referred to as 20 Minuters, as that is their usual lifespan on the battlefield, leaving only the truly worthy to continue on. It is standard practice for Hegemony pilots to spend at least one year in an Anzu over the course of their career.

The basic Anzu comes with a quick Proto Beam, in addition to Pluto-Grade shielding and Vulcan-1 armor. This mecha is highly upgradeable and can support up weapons of all types. It is advised to upgrade weapons as soon as possible, as the armor and shielding can only support limited upgrades.

Legendary Pilots

  • Terry Cole

    Terry Cole

Terry’s first King of The Mountain Gold medal was won in 3274 by his finely tuned squadron of Anzu mecha. Their extreme speed, coupled with their disturbing habit of spontaneously imploding, provide him with an excellent opportunity to display his mastery of their piloting and control systems. He has kept up with advances in light mecha technology and increased the size of his Anzu squadron to remain competitive, as evidenced by his silver finish in the Anzu Zoo competition of 3310. Rumor has it that his expertise is so complete that the designers of the Anzu Run consulted him while building the prototype.

  • Dave MacPhail

    Dave MacPhail

While in combat he favors a Buchis, the technology-obsessed MacPhail maintains a small contingent of Anzu mecha rendered almost unrecognizable as such by a staggering array of bleeding-edge and experimental modifications.
