Jeff Haas
As of Today a new legend s being told around the Mecha Galaxy. Jeff Haas has become renowned as a legendary pilot of the 25 ton Novum Class Mecha. In the hands of a pilot like Haas the key abilities of the Novum allow him to hit many times beyond the Novum's humble tonnage. Offensively the Novum is best paired with laser weaponry as it's natural boost to laser weapons as well as fork ability will dish out capable damage. Where the Novum truly shines, however, it it's speed and defensive capabilities. With a significant boost to dodge and speed, the Novum is best combined with a strategy that emphasizes speed and agility over raw power. Weaving nimbly around enemy blasts when piloted by Haas, the Novum can perplex, bewilder, and ultimately defeat mecha boasting a significant weight class advantage. In many ways the Novum is the classic "David" seeing victory against the multitude of Goliaths the mecha universe possesses. Haas has a long and storied history as a pilot in the mecha universe, publicly debuting in the very first King of the Mountain tournament in 3261, where he placed in the top 25 competitors in the known galaxy. During this time Haas became known as a top pilot with another mecha, the powerful Smilodon. His personal mecha, the "Ace-custom" would see him through many of the earliest Clan Wars in his rise to fame. Currently Haas is a member of one of the most powerful, well known mecha Clans in the galaxy: Odin's Secret Chamber. This clan invokes the name sake of Odin - the One-Eyed all father of Norse mythology, god of War and Death - as it continues to be one of the most dominant clans in the mecha galaxy. Known as the "Brawler" amongst his peers, Haas still manages to be a stand out amongst the giants he rubs shoulders with; which is exemplified by his skills with the Novum. Keeping a full wartime squad of the Novum on standby defies the conventional wisdom that says heavier mechas with bigger guns always win. The agility of the Novum under a skilled pilot, proves that wrong. One thing remains a certainty, the legend of Jeff Haas will continue to grow through the mecha galaxy.
