Heavier than the Nifthel and fully loaded with an impressive armor package, the Glaccus effectively locks enemies down before blasting them with its array of ice weapons. The cold damage from its massive attacks often shuts down additional systems, sometimes doubling and even tripling the damage done by its ice blasters. The combination of its ice effects and big damage makes the Glaccus quite a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.
One of the largest crystal mechs available in the field, the Glaccus has been used with devastating effectiveness in mowing down lines of smaller mechs. AFF Clans have been known to use them to great tactical advantage when fighting off pirates on the moons of Rhylius-7. There, the frozen enemy mechs were preserved enough to be commandeered by the AFF forces once the fighting was over. Thus the Glaccus allowed its pilots to not only knock out the opposing forces, but to later bolster their own arsenals from the salvaged enemy mechs.
While the Glaccus is not a terribly fast mech, its ability to slow the opposition as well as its heavy armor allow it to last well into a battle and make the utmost use of its formidable weapons array. Savvy pilots and engineers will take advantage of the ample potential for retrofitting its engine compartment in order to get some extra speed into the mix.

Todd Rainey
Todd has been a staple of the King of the Mountain Circuit since its inception in 3261. His clan mates know that he actually prefers Clan Wars over individual events for the teamwork and coordination they require. Many times he has lead his fellow pilots into battle with his signature Glaccus mecha, armed to the teeth with ice and crit-kill weapons. Todd gained widespread fame for assisting with the purge of the notorious pirate infestation on the moons of the Illyrian common house Schwarzbär Collective's capital planet. His Glaccus line was instrumental in sweeping each moon after the initial battle to search for rogue strongholds that had evaded capture, and delivering icy justice to them.
